KALAMA KU'IKAHI

Yá’át’ééh shik’éí dóó shidine’é! Shí éí Kalama Ku’ikahi yinishyé. Biligana nishłį́, Hawáai Dine’é (Hawaiian) bashishchiin. Ákót’éego Hawáai Dine’é hastiin nishłį́. Kinłani kééhasht’į́, ndi Tó Díílidí dóó Hawai’i island déé’ naashá. 

I love building on the rez and in Hawai’i. Experienced in working with youth, developing programs, nonprofit management, somatic healing, and violence prevention. 

Presently studying Diné and Hawaiian traditional ways of knowing and being, especially as it pertains to masculenities.

I was born and raised on Diné Bikéyah where I continue to live and work. I have three beautiful adult children. I love making all types of things. I have been a part of the MMIR movement for a three years and continue to work address Indigenous land and body violence.

If I could choose to be something different than human for one day... I’d be a mano uhi (tiger shark).

If I could have dinner with any two people... it’d be my tutu wahine (grandmothers), Nalau Kuali’i and Hattie Kaui.
