I am Diné, a Storyteller and Veteran. 

I love stories. Growing up with my grandparents at the base of Dził Nóódoozí they always share stories. Stories that gave life a deeper meaning, whether it was a personal or traditional there was always a meaning behind every story.

Listening and sharing stories is a human experience that builds community. Being raised within Diné Bikéyah, it showed me how our ecosystem, as Diné works with everything: land, livestock, tradition, family and most importantly ké. 

My grandparents taught me the value of Ké, hard-work and selfless service. Those values are what I credit for all my success throughout the years.

With my free time I like to spend it with family, working out, going to the range,  reading, listening to music and really really love to cook! I’m the best but I cook with positivity and there is always a sauce to make it better. 

Experienced in in higher education for 9 years, workforce development with both tribal and non-tribal, and cultural diversity trainings.

Presently, I am studying studying how to be a better human being, learning about climate change and how to protect our homelands. I’m a Warrior Scholar guided by my heart. All of the work that I do is guided by service to my People, what I do is for my Ancestors, my kids, and my future relatives.

In my current role I am the manager for South Mountain Community College’s Guadalupe Center. I oversee all programming both academic and non academic.

If I could choose to be something different than human for one day, it would be a golden eagle. Its strong, powerful wings would carry me into the blue skies to see all the textures of the land below. The ability to freely move into various places.
